Geological Summary THE CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY A NORTHWEST TRENDING BELT OF UPPER TRIASSIC NICOLA GROUP VOLCANIC AND SEDIMENTARY ROCKS AND UPPER TRIASSIC - LOWER JURASSIC DIORITE TO SYENITE. NEAR THE INTRUSIONS THE NICOLA GROUP VOLCANICS EXHIBIT VARIOUS STYLES OF ALTERATION AND MINERALIZATION INCLUDING (1) VOLCANICS ALTERED TO BIOTITE-PYROXENE HORNFELS WITH VEINLETS OF QUARTZ-CARBONATE PLUS/MINUS CHALCOPYRITE. (2) LIMESTONE ALTERED TO SKARN CONTAINING A LENSE OF PYRRHOTITE, MAGNETITE, PYRITE, CHALCOPYRITE WITH VALUES IN GOLD, AND (3) ARGENTIFEROUS GALENA FOUND IN CARBONATE FRACTURE FILLINGS IN BRECCIATED VOLCANICS.
