Geological Summary At the Fairview Mine, gold mineralization occurs in quartz veins which lie within a biotite +/- sericite quartzite sequence that contains minor sericite +/- chlorite schists, felsic sills and andesite-quartz feldspar porphyry sills. Many of the sills are strongly altered having chloritized or leached out mafics, clay or sericite altered feldspars and fracture controlled fuchsite, sulphides and quartz veining.
